Our Classroom now has Flexible Seating!
Thank you to everyone that donated to our Donor's Choose site. Our project was fully funded and the flexible seating options for 21st century learners have already arrived. The students love learning on the balance balls, high stools, and go-anywhere stadium seats. We greatly appreciate every dollar that went into the project. Learning is so much more enjoyable and comfortable thanks to your generosity!
Homework
1. Read an average of 100 minutes per week and write one letter about your book each week.
2. Spend about 5 minutes a night (or an average of 25 minutes per week) working with basic math
multiplication/division facts to gain speed and accuracy. Pick a fun, interactive math site from my web page or
work on your favorite math app from the iPad.
3. Practice weekly spelling word sorts for about 5 minutes each evening.
A consequence of having late or missing assignments may mean a child has to miss any activity to complete the work and/or reflect on his/her responsibility. Points will not be taken off for lateness.
Classroom Expectations
Classroom Rules for Above the Line Behavior Expectations
1. Be honest
2. Share what you have and what you know
3. Take responsibility for yourself
4. Do your best
5. Know your space and keep it safe
6. Speak, listen and learn respectfully
The first time a child displays a minor behavior that is not above the line, a warning will be given. On the second occurrence, the child will have a choice between a "fix it" plan or a consequence. On the third occurrence, the child will receive both a "fix it" plan and a consequence in addition to a phone call home or a note home. The goal is for the child to replace the below the line behavior with above the line ones.
